Can DRM damage your sales?
During the DRM-saga of Sony people where saying that they wouldn’t buy records from Sony anymore. But to they realy stop buying records. Here is a proof: after the announced boycott of all Sony CD’s the Get Right with the Man CD by Van Zant sales crashed. Get Right with the Man was ranked 887 before plummeting to position 25,802. Comments such as “BEWARE - COPY PROTECTION CONTAINS TROJAN THAT COULD CRIPPLE YOUR COMPUTER” is probably not what the artist want if as review. Today it has recoved a bit (5,511). But nevertheless the music industry keeps on promoting their DRM solutions.
