IFPI announced that the global music revenues declined with 4%. The decline is the result of lower CD prices. The amount of CD’s sold hasn’t declined. Digital music sales nearly tripled to $1.1 bln from $400 mln in 2004, split evenly between online services and mobile phone downloads.
