Belgian ISP’s need to install a P2P blocker
Belgian ISP’s need to install a filter so illegal content can not get shared over P2P networks. This is the outcome of the verdict of a lawsuit which carried on for more then 3 years. The complaint was filed by Belgian based CISAC Sabam againt one of Belgium’s largest ISP’s Tiscali (now Scarlet). There were 11 suggestions to prevent sharing of illegal content over P2P networks. This would also result in legal files being hard to get through these networks. Best technology is the software produced by USA based Audible Magic. This software program can only block 70% of the illegal sharing. How they wil ever prevent the sharing of encrypted files is still a mystery.
